Thanks to its complex components, Dermawell tablet interacts with the skin aging process at several points.

The main component is collagen, its degradation results in so-called bioactive hydrolyzed dipeptides and tripeptides (Glycine-Proline-Hydroxyproline amino acids). These molecules are directly absorbed from the intestines and accumulate primarily in the skin. In particular, the proline-hyroxiproline dipeptide enhances the migration of connective tissue cells (dermal fibroblasts), stimulates them to produce collagen fibers, elastic fibers, and hyaluronic acid. In addition, collagen is a prerequisite for the healthy functioning of our bones and joints. Collagen-containing dietary supplements have been proven to have beneficial effects on degenerative joint, cartilage and bone diseases, they relieve joint pain, and prevent bone loss.

Another main component is hyaluronic acid, a linear polysaccharide that is present everywhere in the body, but 50% of the hyaluronic acid is concentrated in the skin. Its role is to retain water and maintain hydration. Aging and UVB reduce the activity of the enzyme by which it is produced. Research has shown that hyaluronic acid intake enhances the proliferation of the main cells of the connective tissue (fibroblasts) and stimulates them to produce new hyaluronic acid and collagen, thus reducing wrinkles, improving the quality of the skin which becomes brighter and more vivid.

The other main ingredient (pine bark extract) is a strong natural antioxidant (free radical scavenger); in addition to its sunscreening effect, it reduces hyperpigmentation (pathological excessive pigment production), improves the skin’s barrier function (protective layer) and the homeostasis (balance) of the extracellular matrix. It increases the synthesis of type I collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin, thereby increasing the hydration and elasticity of the skin.

Dermawell also contains vitamins; vitamin C is an effective antioxidant, essential for collagen synthesis, and in addition, it increases iron absorption and takes part in wound healing and drug metabolism.

Vitamin A is involved in the growth and maturation of epithelial cells, plays a role in normal wound healing and retinal function. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant, inhibits lipid peroxidation, preserves cell membrane integrity. Biotin(Vitamin H or Vitamin B7) is a component of enzymes involved in several metabolic processes, amino acid metabolism, cell growth, and has a beneficial effect on hair-nail growth.
